POLICE have arrested two men from Quarry Bank and one from Stourbridge after disorder at a football match.

Skirmishes broke out on the concourse of Molineux, home of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, and then later in Wolverhampton city centre following a game against Leeds United on February 9.

The Quarry Bank pair, aged 48 and 23, were arrested along with a 24-year-old from Stourbridge for offences ranging from breach of bail to affray.

The men were held in custody at Wolverhampton Police Station, but have since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Sergeant Tony Parker, from Wolverhampton Police Station, said: “This is not the end of our investigations.

"Violence of this nature will not be tolerated in Wolverhampton and we will continue to work with our colleagues in Leeds to establish who is responsible for these incidents and bring them to justice.

“If anyone has any information that could help our investigation, they are urged to contact 101 or leave information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
