A STOURBRIDGE student says she’s “over the moon” after her striking looks and poise earned her a clutch of awards in a nationwide model search.

Stacey Williams, who is studying at Stourbridge College, walked away with the coveted editorial title plus the photographic and skin beauty awards at the Top Model UK 2013 Grand Finals held at the Hilton London Metropole.

The 18-year-old teen catwalk queen beat off competition from thousands to secure a place in the live runway shows of the competition which culminated in a weekend fashion extravaganza.

Stacey, a former pupil at Edgecliff High School in Kinver, said of her triple win: “I feel over the moon with the result, I hope this is the start of a successful career.”

The teenager, from Swindon near Dudley, who was Miss Teen Staffordshire in 2011, is training to be an early years teacher but may put pursuing an education career on hold for a chance to chase her modelling dreams.

She said: “I was applying for university but if this really takes off I’ll have to put it on hold as this is what I’ve always wanted to do.”

Since her win, Stacey says she has already been booked for a fashion shoot in Italy for a London label and she’s looking forward to taking to the catwalk in London Fashion Week in September.

“I’m very excited,” she added.
