SOUTH Staffordshire MP Gavin Williamson will be rolling up his sleeves this weekend when he takes part in Kinver’s annual Dray Day event.

The MP will be helping to deliver kegs of beer at various venues throughout the village in readiness for Kinver Country Fayre which takes place on Sunday June 16.

This Saturday will see the MP climb on board a traditional horse and dray, before it unloads the beer at various stops.

The horse and dray will depart at approximately 11.30am before dropping off beer at Kinver Community Centre (KSCA), the Constitutional Club, Vino Off License, The Cross and Dunsley Hall.

The Dray will also stop off at Kays Butchers to collect provisions to be taken to the Rock Houses. To mark the occasion, the butchers will be selling sausages made with Kinver ale.

The MP claimed: “The Kinver Country Fayre is one of the best fairs in the whole of Staffordshire and the surrounding area and it’s great to be joining Kinver Brewery in helping them get prepared for what will be a fantastic country day out.”

The Fayre itself will feature a beer tent on the day comprising of local ales from both Kinver and Enville breweries.
