A NEW Indian restaurant in Stourbridge has raised £1,000 for the Geoff Hill Charitable Trust .
The trust, which gives out thousands of pounds worth of grants to cash-strapped borough groups and charities each year, was chosen to benefit from funds raised at the opening of East 2 West on Brettell Lane, Amblecote.
Businessman Geoff Hill, who started the trust to give something back to the community, attended the opening on Monday July 1 with his wife Sue.
The Mayor of Dudley Councillor Alan Finch and his wife Heather also attended the event where Mr Hill was presented with a cheque by proprietor Joe Uddin.
