Borough solicitors back charity will campaign
12:00pm Saturday 21st September 2013 in News
BOROUGH law firms are once again supporting Dudley Group NHS Charity’s annual project, Will Fortnight.
The initiative will run from October 7-18 and those that take out a will during that time will be asked for a minimum of £60 to the charity, which purchases equipment and holistic items for Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley and supports patients being treated in their own home.
Solicitors from Waldrons, DWT Legal and Jordans will provide their services free of charge and offer a standard will writing service to patients, staff and members of the community.
Tracey Emonson, trust and probate solicitor at Waldrons, said: "The charity Will Fortnight is a great opportunity for Waldrons to get involved; our staff always enjoy supporting the hospital.”
Karen Phillips, fundraising co-ordinator for the charity, added: “We are extremely grateful to all of the solicitors who are giving up quite a substantial part of their week.
“This campaign, which is now in its fourth year, is growing in popularity.”
She added: “With the charity suggesting a minimum donation of £60 from those who take part means they will receive a fantastic deal. This is excellent value for money.”
