Stourbridge man admits driving offence which caused girlfriend's death

A 23-YEAR-OLD Stourbridge man has admitted causing the death of his girlfriend in a road crash in Cookley.
Thomas Whitehouse, of Burns Close, pleaded guilty at Worcester Crown Court on Friday (September 20) to causing the death of Samantha Jennings, aged 26, by careless or inconsiderate driving.
Mr Whitehouse’s Vauxhall Astra collided with a wall on the A449 at Cookley before hitting a tree in the early hours of December 8 2012.
Mother-of-two Miss Jennings, of Aldridge Close, Wordsley, was pronounced dead at the scene - near the Island Pool pub.
Mr Whitehouse, aged 23, who also admitted possession of cannabis, will be sentenced on November 29.
