A LADIES Guild which meets weekly in Stourbridge celebrated its 60th anniversary with a cake cutting ceremony and meal for members.
Wollaston Ladies Guild, which is based at Wollaston Methodist Church in Cobden Street, hosts talks from speakers as well as performances of poetry and music and faith suppers.
Its 27 members met at The Hadcroft pub in Grange Lane, Pedmore, on Wednesday September 25 for a celebrationary meal.
Outgoing president Jill Watkins and new president Maggie Postings took part in a cake cutting ceremony to mark the milestone.
The group formed in 1953 and was known as Enville Street Methodist Church Ladies Guild. When the church moved to West Street the group moved with it, until the church closed in July 2005.
Members then moved to Wollaston Methodist Church in Cobden Street and became Wollaston Ladies Guild. They meet there on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm.
