BLACK Country businessman Geoff Hill has been appointed as Dudley Little Theatre’s new president.
Mr Hill MBE, owner of Geoff Hill Electrical Superstore in Amblecote, a former thespian with the company and an avid attendee of its productions and current sponsor, was “delighted” to accept the honorary role which has been vacant since the 1980s.
DLT publicity officer Chris Ridgeway said: “Geoff's charitable work is legendary and the on-going support from his charitable foundation helps towards training opportunities for new and seasoned members in all aspects of theatrical production.
“He is an inspiration to all and a worthy choice as president.”
The company’s next outing will be Mother Goose's Golden Christmas which will run at Netherton Arts Centre from December 4 to 7.
Other shows lined up for the 2013/14 season include Brief Encounter (March 2014) and Blackadder (May 2014).
