A MAN has been charged with a series of thefts from lockers at gyms across the the Black Country and Birmingham.
Unemployed Alieu Jallow, of William Booth Lane, Birmingham, was charged last week with more than 17 reported thefts from lockers in changing rooms at branches of The Gym and Pure Gym throughout the West Midlands, and in Southampton.
The 21-year-old was originally arrested in August after a man reported items stolen from his secure storage unit at the city centre branch of Pure Gym.
Accused of breaking into lockers stealing high value phones, laptops and bank details up to around £10,000, he will appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court on November 5 after being charged with crimes at the Brierley Hill, West Bromwich, Sparkbrook and Birmingham city centre branches of the two sporting chains.
