THE colourful artwork of a Pedmore schoolgirl is featured on charity Christmas cards, available exclusively at Stourbridge's Tesco Extra.

Holly Eastoe, aged six, was the lucky winner of the supermarket's design a Christmas card competition and won a £250 cheque for her school and a £50 Tesco gift voucher to spend how she wishes.

Proceeds from the cards, designed by the Ham Dingle Primary School pupil, will be given to the Mary Stevens Hospice.

Holly and her classmates were invited to the store recently to see the Christmas card for the first time before it went on display.

Store manager Sadie Griffiths said: “The finished cards look absolutely fantastic. Holly’s design is wonderfully colourful and really stood out when we were looking through all the entries, she should be very proud.

“Running a competition like this has been a great way to engage and establish relationships with the local schools but also give something back to the community.”

Headteacher, Jo Davies, added: “We are very proud of Holly, her artwork was brilliant and it’s great this has been turned into a Christmas card available at our new Tesco Extra store.

"We are also very grateful for the £250 donation, the school council are raising money for a sensory garden so this will be a big boost to the funds."
