EAT, drink, be merry and stay safe – that’s the advice being given to Dudley borough residents in the run up to Christmas.

Dudley’s Community Safety Partnership, Safe and Sound, has launched its 12 Safer Days of Christmas campaign, which gives residents 12 festive safety tips.

They include getting home safely, not drinking and driving and ways to keep your home, valuables and car safe.

There are also tips around avoiding accidental fires and being conned by sellers of counterfeit goods.

Cllr Steve Waltho, cabinet member responsible for community safety, said: “There are lots of little things you can do to ensure that you have a fun and safe Christmas.

“The partnership have twelve really simple pieces of safety advice that if followed could make a big difference to your Christmas.”

Residents are advised to plan for a safer Christmas by checking out all 12 tips in full at www.dudleysafeandsound.org and sharing them with their family and friends.
