PEOPLE across Stourbridge are invited to remember lost loved ones over the festive season and help raise money for the town's Age Concern charity at the same time.
Age Concern Stourbridge & Halesowen is holding a switch on event for its memory tree at 4pm on Friday December 13 at the Elton Centre, St Johns Road, Stourbridge.
The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Alan Finch, and Stourbridge MP Margot James will be attending the event which will see the tree, donated by Roberts Farm, switched on and decorated with memory tags dedicated to departed loved ones.
Tags cost £3 each. For those who do not wish to purchase tags, white silk roses will be on sale for £2 each to attach to the tree.
Seasonal refreshments including mulled wine and mince pies will be served at the event, courtesy of Sainsburys.
Age Concern Stourbridge & Halesowen work to promote wellbeing and good health among older people as well as fighting discrimination and unfair treatment among the elderly and providing an array of activities for the over 50s.
