A CHRISTMAS tree festival has taken root in a Brierley Hill church.
The festival at St Michael’s Church, Bell Street, launched on Saturday (December 7) with a Christmas fair.
Visitors will be able to admire 30 trees that have been donated and decorated by local schools, businesses and organisations for a donation of £1.
The church will be open daily from 11am to 3pm until Sunday (December 15) when the festival will come to a close with a carol and Christingle service at 10.30am.
This is the first year the church has organised a tree festival and Rev Beryl Pritchett, said she was "thrilled" that so many people had got involved.
She added: “It has been lovely so far, everyone who has walked through the door has said 'wow, doesn't it look lovely'. They are all coming in with a smile on their face. It is lovely the way the community has come together."
