Crews from Brierely Hill tackled the blaze.
A FEMALE driver had a lucky escape when her car burst in to flames in Brierley Hill last night (Monday).
The driver, who vacated the vehicle when she saw smoke, was treated for shock at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.
Police closed Level Street, near Pure Gym while crews from Brierley Hill tackled the blaze, caused by a mechanical fault, at 7pm.
The road was reopened at 10pm.
