STOURBRIDGE salsa gran scored top marks from a renowned TV dance judge when she made yet another prime time TV appearance.

Paddy Jones has graced TV screens around the world since winning the Spanish version of Britain's Got Talent 'Tu Si Que Vales' with 39-year-old dance partner Nicko Espinosa.

And although hedging closer to her 80th birthday, her career continues to sizzle.

Her latest TV appearance was on the Paul O' Grady show (December 5) when she and Nicko, who is 40 years her junior, performed in front of Strictly Come Dancing head judge Len Goodman.

The veteran dance expert appeared awe-struck as he watched the pair perform their racy routine before awarding Paddy and Nick a score of ten for their efforts and telling Paddy: "You were fantastic."

Paddy, aged 79, who moved to Gandia, near Valencia, Spain, a few years ago, said: "It went extremely well, especially as I'd been so ill recently."

The gutsy great-grandmother said she was also delighted to meet show host Paul O' Grady, as she shares his love of dogs, and singer turned TV presenter Aled Jones whom she bumped into in the lift at the TV studios.

Paddy, a former professional dancer who used to run Paddy's Fabrics in Victoria Passage, Stourbridge, rekindled her love of dancing nearly ten years ago after her husband David died of leukaemia.

Together with Nicko she has since travelled the globe to perform at congresses and on TV shows including Argentina's souped-up version of Strictly called Showmatch. She's also been recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest salsa dancer in the world.

She thought the jet-setting was over in 2011 when Nicko dissolved their dance partnership after the pair took a tumble during a TV show in Lima but they later patched things up to continue their in-demand novelty act which she says shed be "lost without".

She told the News: "I really love it; I'd be bored without it. I want to carry on at least until I’m 80."
