A MULTICULTURAL event celebrated the achievements of a Lye-based charity on Saturday (December 7).
Members of the Apni Zaroorat Community Network were joined by local councillors for a three course meal, followed by a variety of performances and a fashion show at Valley Road Youth Centre.
The charity, based at Lye Community Centre, strives to improve the quality of lives for women, young people and families by reducing isolation, encouraging active participation and providing information and support.
Asima Khalid, chief executive and volunteer at the network, said: "It is an annual event that marks the success of what we have done over the past year."
