BOROUGH residents are being asked to share their views on how Dudley Council spends its adult social care budget.

A series of consultation events will give people the chance to say which services they believe should be prioritised after the council announced it would need to make savings over the next three years to meet reductions in Government funding.

Councillor Dave Branwood, cabinet member for adult and community services, said: "Government funding for adult social care continues to reduce whilst the number of vulnerable people in our community is rising rapidly.

"Faced with these pressures it is essential we listen to the views of local people to find out which services they value most.

"As a community council we are committed to engaging with local people so I would urge people to come along to one of these events and have their say."

The first event will take place on Tuesday (December 17) at Methodist Church, Bank Street, Brierley Hill from 2.30pm to 5pm.

Further sessions will be held on Tuesday January 7 at Insight, South Street, Brierley Hill from 4.30pm to 7pm and Thursday January 9 at Halesowen Cricket Club from 10am to 12.30pm and Christ Church and Stambermill, Lye from 2.30pm to 5pm.

Sessions will also be held on Friday January 17 at Sedgley Community Centre from 10am to 12.30pm and at Queens Cross Network, Wellington Road, Dudley from 2.30pm to 5pm.

Attendance should be confirmed by calling 01384 815130.

Those who are unable to attend a session but still want to have their say, can complete an online questionnaire, from Tuesday (December 17) at www.dudley.gov.uk/ascviews.

The closing date for feedback is Friday January 17.
