RESIDENTS are being advised of Christmas opening hours at the household waste recycling centre in Stourbridge.
The Birmingham Street site, which is run by Dudley Council, will retain its usual winter opening hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and 8am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday but will be closed tomorrow, Thursday and New Year’s Day.
The household waste site is the main recycling site for a large number of items such as cardboard, plastic bottles, green garden waste and old electrical items.
Councillor Tracy Wood, cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “We are working hard to keep the site open as normal over Christmas period as we know this is a busy period for our residents.
“People are being asked to bring their unwanted electrical items and old Christmas trees to the site for recycling after the holidays.”
