STOURBRIDGE tip was evacuated on Saturday after a member of staff discovered what looked like a large bullet.
Police were called to the Birmingham Road site just after 10.30am.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “The site was evacuated as a precaution but explosives experts soon deemed there to be no major explosive risk and no danger to the public.
“Army explosives experts were called to the scene to examine the ammunition round and make it safe.”
The tip was reopened at around 1pm.
