A STOURBRIDGE chippy will find out if it has been named as the best in the UK at an awards ceremony next Wednesday.
Merchants on Worcester Street, has already secured the title of Midlands’ Independent Takeaway Fish and Chip Shop of the Year in the 2014 National Fish and Chip Awards.
But owner, Anthony Akathiotis, is hoping his shop can batter the competition in the final fry off.
The awards ceremony will be held in London and will be hosted by Michelin-starred chef and TV personality Jean Christophe Novelli.
