A STOURBRIDGE psychologist proved she was the hostess with the mostest when she was crowned the winner of Come Dine With Me.
Brazilian born Jeanne Lucie Carvalho-Kelly, aged 44, won £1,000 after her culinary skills impressed her guests in Friday's episode of the Channel 4 show, which sees four strangers take it in turns to host the perfect dinner party.
Her winning menu consisted of a fish starter, served in a teacup, bean-stew served with a spicy beef for main and the Brazilian version of crème anglaise for dessert.
Jeanne also provided her guests some entertainment in the form of Midlands band, theLights, fronted by her brother-in-law, Shaun Kelly.
The mother-of-three said she frequently hosts dinner parties and decided to apply as she is a fan of the show.
She added: "I had lots of fun but it was really stressful at the same time. I really enjoyed going to other peoples houses and meeting new people.
"I planned the food, my party, my outfit, everything for a long time.
"Cooking in front of the cameras put me under extra pressure and the nature of the layout of my kitchen meant that not only was I cooking in front of cameras but also in front of my guests. "
The show sees contestants score each others efforts in secret and Jeanne scored 21, just one point ahead of the second place.
Recalling what it felt like to be told she'd won, she said: "It was like an out of body experience, I thought is this really happening to me? At the same time, I'm really competitive so I really wanted to win.
"I genuinely believed my party was a winning party. I was the only one who had entertainment. I expected the others to put on some entertainment but they didn't so maybe that is why they didn't win."
Jeanne said she would spend her £1,000 prize money on a trip to Brazil to see her 90-year-old father as she was unable to attend his birthday party.
