A NEW Years Eve charity gig in Kinver raised £2,500 for the Leukaemia Appeal Fund.
The gig, which saw members of the audience perform, backed by a live band, Housewives Choice, will be used to fund a new waiting area and equipment for the Georgina Unit at Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley.
The event at St Peter's Church Hall was attended by 162 people.
Cy Wooldridge, who helped to organise the sell-out gig, wished to thank everyone who had help make it a success.
He added: "This money won’t go on any wages at the charity as its voluntary , it will go straight to where it is needed."
The cheque was presented to charity chairman, Lee Jenkins, at the Georgina Unit charity shop, Sedgley, on Saturday.
