THE opening of a new Greggs at a Brierley Hill shopping centre has created 22 jobs.
Merry Hill welcomed the new bakery shop, which has seating for up to 48 people, and will serve up sausage rolls, sandwiches, cakes, coffee and full-size takeaway pizzas.
Joanna Ellis, shop manager of the Merry Hill shop, said: “I am very proud to be managing this new shop and look forward to welcoming people through the doors to enjoy Greggs’ favourites, as well as trying our new product ranges.
"We aim to offer our customers quality and freshness at great value prices, and we are keen to hear what the local community think of our new shop.”
Raymond Reynolds, retail director for Greggs, said: “We are really pleased to invest in Dudley with a new shop, creating new jobs and helping to support the local economy.
"Having listened to our customers we recognise the demands of the modern retail environment are changing, so we continue to enhance what Greggs has to offer through differentiation and focusing on the by focusing on the food-on-the-go market.”
