A STOURBRIDGE recruitment consultant will skydive on her 18th birthday in memory of her grandad.
Natalie Apted, who works part-time for cleaning service Maid2Clean West Midlands, will be fundraising for Prostate Cancer UK after her beloved grandfather, Eric Shiels, lost his battle with the disease in 2012, aged 76.
She said: "If I could make just one wish for my 18th birthday it would be for my grandad to be here to celebrate it with me.
"I can't have my wish - so I thought it would be fitting to celebrate my 18th birthday by doing a skydive to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK in grandad's memory.
"That way, I hope to be able to make a bit of a difference and I might be able to help some other grandads be there for their little grandaughter's 18th birthday."
The 17-year-old, who will be taking the plunge on February 8, hopes to raise £500.
