AMBLECOTE'S Glasshouse Arts Centre is staging a fresh adaptation of Anton Chekhov 's classic play The Seagull.
Being presented by renowned theatre company Shifting Sands, the show is described as a "comical yet beautiful" adaptation of one of the Russian dramatist's most popular works which aims to breathe new life into Chekhov's characters - a famous actress, her son and their lovers - who consistently create their own tragedy.
It will run at the Wollaston Road theatre for one night only from 7.30pm on Friday February 28.
Artistic director Gerry Flanagan said: " I am delighted to be able to retell this classic. It's one of my favourites. Being able to tour it to the Glasshouse Arts Centre is very exciting."
Tickets cost £8/£6 and are available from the box office on 01384 399430.
