TWO motorcycle enthusiasts have opened Stourbridge’s first dedicated motorcycle centre.
John Birchill and his business partner Mark Coyle, have converted a unit on Mill Race Lane into Stourbridge Motorcycle Centre, a garage providing motorbike servicing, repairs and MOTs.
The unit also has a showroom containing new learner legal vehicles, spare parts, rider accessories and riding equipment.
Although currently only open at weekends, the new venture has already created three job opportunities.
However, when the riding season commences from mid-March, the service centre will be open full time, with plans to expand the team further.
Mr Birchill said: “As avid motorcyclists we noticed a lack of facilities in Stourbridge for riders, so we decided to fill the gap in the market and set up a reliable servicing centre ourselves.
"Our dedicated and experienced team of mechanics can carry out services and MOT motorcycles on site, meaning customers will no longer have to travel to other towns."
He added: "Having already received a high level of enquires before we’ve even opened, we have high hopes for the future.”
