YOUNGSTERS at Ashwood Park Primary School in Wordsley had a cracking time watching chicks hatch as part of their studies.
Pupils at the Bells Lane school were able to see around a dozen fluffy hatchlings take their first steps in incubators which they had been watching avidly since returning from the half term holiday.
Headteacher Steve Hudson said: "The children have been looking at dinosaur eggs and all sorts of other exciting things as part of their Out Of An Egg topic - which is running for a term.
"They've also made huge papier mache eggs - and been tracking dinosaur footprints in the school grounds and there'll be all sorts of other things going on in the run-up to Easter."
