EAGLE-eyed cops arrested two suspected drug dealers who were seen acting suspiciously outside a Dudley pizza takeaway.

PCs Ross Evans and Stuart Lewis were patrolling in Stourbridge Road when their attention was drawn to a black Volkswagen Passat, as the officers approached a package was thrown out of the car.

Both men in the car were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs,  a search uncovered £350 and a mobile phone.

The 32-year-old driver of the Passat and his 38-year-old passenger were released on police bail while enquiries continue.

PC Ross Evans, from Brierley Hill police station, said: "As police officers we’re trained to read body language and spot suspicious behaviour.

"While on targeted patrols we spotted the men at the side of the road speaking to another man through the passenger window of their vehicle.

"As we looked closer I could see that a package had been thrown out of the passenger window. This has been sent to analysis but it is believed to be heroin.

"Keeping drugs off our streets is a priority for us - we know how disruptive and far reaching the effects of drug use and supply can be in a community."

The man who was talking to the duo in the car was not arrested following the incident, which took place 11.30am on March 4.
