COUPLES looking to tie the knot could be in luck this weekend when a free wedding will be up for grabs at Priory Hall’s open day.

Dudley Council is offering one betrothed couple the chance to win a wedding, worth £320, at the popular venue through a free prize draw.

To win, couples must pop their names in a box at the event, which will be held at the grade II listed registration office tomorrow (Saturday) from 10am to 4pm.

Dudley Mayor, Councillor Alan Finch, will reveal the winners at 3pm.

If the winning couple has already booked their big day at the venue, the fee will be waived.

Those that haven't booked will receive the free wedding.

The winning couple will only be required to pay the statutory notice fee of £35 each.

Councillor Gaye Partridge, cabinet member for human resources, law and governance, said: “Our wedding open day attracts couples from across the borough eager to visit our beautiful Priory Hall venue, pick up tips and get inspiration for their big day.”

Information on ceremony cars, wedding cakes, balloons, photographers, bridal wear, suit hire, flowers and much more will be on offer from the various exhibitors at the event.

Bargain hunters can also purchase once-worn designer and off-the-peg bride, bridesmaid, mother of the bride and page boy clothes.
