BRAVE Stourbridge barmaid Sammy Lenton shed her shoulder-length locks this week with a headshave at the Royal Exchange pub in Enville Street.
Sammy got one of her friends to perform the deed and hopes to raise money for Cancer Research as a result.
The 20-year-old, who lives on The Kingsway in Wollaston and has been working at the Royal Exchange for the past eight months, said: "Hair was getting in my face one day at the pub and I just thought, I might as well have it shaved off for charity - it was just something I thought up on the spur of the moment and it progressed from that.
"When I mentioned it to some of the regulars at the pub, they promised to support me and I raised over £200 prior to the headshave.
"Both my grandparents have suffered with cancer and I wanted to do something for them.
"I asked my friend to do the headshave. She cuts her brother's hair and was the only person I knew who would do it for free."
