PLANS have been submitted to build new council homes in Wollaston.
The proposed site in Norfolk Road will comprise of eight two-bedroomed apartments.
The application will be determined later in the summer once ecology surveys have been completed - but if planning permission gets the go-ahead, work is expected to start in the autumn.
Funding for the project has been boosted after Dudley Council was awarded £385,000 from the government's Home and Communities Agency.
The proposed apartments will provide supported housing and Cllr Steve Waltho, who is cabinet member for housing, said: "Although a small scale development, it will provide essential homes for people. We hope to develop more sites in the future to boost our housing stock in response to local housing need."
