MEMBERS of the Stourbridge based No Limits Community Project were out in force in the town on Wednesday April 2 to help promote World Autism Awareness Day.
The project supports people aged 16 and over who suffer from autism and Asperger's syndrome.
Project manager Chris Morgan, a former senior social worker, said: "The number of people being diagnosed with autism is increasing. We deal with 16-year-olds and upwards who fall between mental health and learning disabilities because there is nothing for them after they leave school. Yet it is the fastest growing disability in the UK.
"People with autism may have difficulty with communication and social skills and the condition affects more than one person in every 100."
No Limits was formed five years ago and is situated at the Coach House, next to St Mary's Church in Oldswinford.
