A GRAFFITI wall featuring an anti-drugs message has been unveiled in a Wordsley park to give youngsters the opportunity to leave their mark legally.

It is hoped the steel sheet structure, at the entrance to the multi-use games area at King George V Park, will be sturdier than the last wall, which was demolished by yobs, hours after it was constructed last year.

The wall, provided by The Source Youth Centre, in conjunction with Friends of Wordsley Park, was officially opened by the Deputy Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Margaret Aston on Saturday (April 12).

Geoff Paddock, publicity officer for the friends group, said: "We hope the new wall is appreciated by local youth and the message is followed. We are continuing with our efforts to improve our park and its facilities and will be putting on further events during the year."
