KINVER artist Mo Awkati enjoyed a labour of love when painting Aberdovey lifeboat while out at sea.
He presented his picture to the lifeboat station earlier this year during its annual dinner which also celebrates the 50th anniversary of the station re-opening.
The picture now takes pride of place at the station and it is hoped images can be taken of the painting to produce cards and notelets that can be sold to raise funds for the RNLI.
Mo, a qualified teacher, works from his Kinver studio known as the Art Shed where he runs workshops and adult art classes.
He said: "It gave me tremendous pleasure painting it and even more pleasure knowing the RNLI Aberdovey lifeboat crew loved it and will benefit from it."
