A BLACK Country college is launching a 'work related learning’ day to give career advice and workshops for year nine and ten pupils at secondary schools.

Halesowen College is holding the event on Wednesday, June 25 where a range of fun sessions will be held around working in different industries including music, fashion, accountancy, beauty, marketing and apprenticeships.

There will also be lots of information on offer about different careers and the courses available.

Janet Williams, school liaison director at Halesowen College, said: “This is the first time we have held this type of event and we are very excited.

“It is a great idea for young people to come into College and do some activities related to the area they want to work in or find out more about the various jobs in different industries.

“The day is mainly aimed at pupils from our partner schools and our students will also be involved especially if they are unsure what path to take next after their course at College.”
