MORRISONS has put forward new plans for a bigger and better supermarket in Kingswinford.
Supermarket bosses want to demolish the food store, off Stallings Lane, and replace it with a larger store, with a customer cafe and extra car parking.
The redevelopment would also create 89 full and part-time jobs.
A design and access statement submitted to Dudley planners, said that the existing store "falls well short of the company's current specification" as it is too small.
It states that the size of the building means the aisles are too narrow, shelf space is limited and there are inadequate checkouts, resulting in a congested store.
The application also seeks permission to replace the current petrol station and car wash.
To cater for the large number of customers currently using the filling station, the new facility would have four additional pumps and give customers the option to pay at the pump.
Dudley Council's Development Control Committee will make a decision at a meeting on Monday (May 12).
