STOURBRIDGE Lawn Tennis and Squash Club will open its doors to the public to stage a charity fun day at its Sugar Loaf Lane headquarters.

The event takes place from 10am to 4pm on Saturday May 17 and includes taster sessions in cardio and mini tennis plus competitions such as 'beat the coach', fastest serve and a fitness challenge.

Visitors can also watch a charity match at 2pm when the club's head tennis coach Les Davies and three-time British Touring Car champion Matt Neal takes on his agent Steve Thomas and Kirk Woodall, one of the club's assistant coaches.

Matt Neal will also be showcasing his Racing NGTC Honda Civic Tourer which he will be driving in this year's championships.

The club will also be showing off recent improvements to the bar, lounge and balcony areas.

Money raised from the open day will give a boost to Stourbridge's Mary Stevens Hospice.
