A HAGLEY chippy has a great offer lined up to celebrate Norway Day.
Our Plaice on Worcester Lane will serve up 99p portions of Norwegian cod and chips for 99p on Saturday (May 17).
Chip shop owner and president of the National Federation of Fish Fryers, Greg Howard, said: “We are so pleased to be taking part in this annual celebration. Fish and chips are a firm favourite in the West Midlands.
"I know that our customers will enjoy the delicious Norwegian cod and chips on offer - and they will certainly enjoy the prices too.”
The chippy is one of 99 across the UK working with The Norwegian Seafood Council on the initiative.
A total of 16 tonnes of cod has been gifted to the shops, allowing nearly 40,000 people nationwide to join in the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Norwegian constitution.
