MUSIC lovers are in for a treat this Saturday (May 17) when Viva Musica stages its silver celebration concert at St James Church in Wollaston starting at 7.30pm.

The musicians will be joined by Summerhill Choral Society for the concert which marks 25 years since the group formed.

This year's theme will be the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War and will feature pieces from that era.

Tickets for the event cost £9 and can be obtained by calling either 01384 371388 or 0121 550 5581. Alternatively people can pay on the door.

Viva Musica, which performs anything from the Beatles to Beethoven, looks to mark its 25 years further with a major concert at Dudley Town Hall in October when members will be accompanied by accomplished tenor Wynn Evans - whose voice has forever been immortalised in the 'Go Compare' adverts.
