A ZUMBATHON in Stourbridge raised more than £200 for Mary Stevens Hospice.

Zumba instructors Gemma Webster and Diane Wassell invited Canadian instructor, Emma Moore to help them with the dance event at The Fitness Factory on Monday (May 12).

Gemma said: “I just thought it would make the zumbathon a bit different. Although the zumba program is the same all across the world, each country still has its own dance styles and influences.

"It was really fun to do some different moves and routines that had a Canadian twist.”

Emma, a former member of the Fitness Factory, decided to become a zumba instructor when she moved to Mount Pearl, Newfoundland.

She said: “It just seemed like the right move career wise. I am really happy to be able to come home and still be part of the community and raise money for such a wonderful cause.”
