A STOURBRIDGE football fanatic has proudly erected a sign dedicated to his beloved team in his front garden.
Peter Holland, of Romsley Road, has been a Manchester City fan since he was six and said: "I was born in Manchester and to say I'm City through and through is putting it mildly."
The 83-year-old said the idea for the sign came after a friend had told him about an auction taking place, where a Manchester City nameplate from a locomotive would be expected to sell for more than £40,000.
Inspired, he took a photograph of the nameplate to Stourbridge based Brettell Brothers, who specialise in making wrought iron gates and railings, and asked them to replicate it.
Mr Holland said the sign cost him £103, a fraction of the price of the real deal and said he was "pleased as punch" with the result.
