A KINGSWINFORD secondary school that recently unveiled a new state-of-the-art teaching facilities has been given another £416,000 for further improvements.
Nearly £1million has been spent to create a new English block and drama and music classrooms at The Kingswinford School.
Food technology, textiles and science class rooms have also been transformed by the successful bid to the Education Funding Agency.
The announcement that the agency had allocated further funding, was made by chairman of governors, Janice Daines, as she was joined by Dudley South MP Chris Kelly to open the new facilities earlier this month.
Headteacher, Bronwyn Hedley, said the money would be spent improving the heating and ventilation infrastructure throughout the school and upgrading existing fire alarm and security alarm systems.
She added: "The application process is extremely competitive and we are delighted to have won this additional funding to improve our learning and teaching environment."
