A NORTON woman is coming to terms with her new found fame after appearing in a TV advert.

Ann Conroy, aged 69, was eager to feature in the advert for Benenden Health Care after the company helped her to pay for urgent heart surgery eight years ago.

The advert, which is part of a four week promotion, has already appeared on Sky TV, ITV 3 and Channel 4.

Ann, who is a member of Amblecote Church Centre, said: "I'm a member of Benenden Health Care, which is a mutual society and runs by its members.

"They were looking for people to feature in the advert. They wanted real people, not actors, so I was happy to volunteer."

She added: "Quite a number of people have come up to me and said, I've seen you on the telly."
