A KINGSWINFORD school has been rewarded for its students’ outstanding progress and results.

The Crestwood School, Bromley Lane, received an SSAT (The Schools Network) Educational Outcomes Award at Waverley School in Birmingham on June 4.

The award recognised that the school is in the top 20 per cent of schools nationally for the level of progress students have made.

Headteacher, Tony Bowles, was delighted to accept the award on behalf of the school, which is now in its fourth consecutive year of improvement.

He said: “At Crestwood, we aim to develop independent young people who truly believe anything is possible.

"We encourage every individual to have an active mind, a sense of understanding, compassion for others and the courage to act on their beliefs.

"We foster a culture of high achievement and aspiration where only our best is good enough."
