BLACK Country football fans behaved themselves as England suffered a defeat to Italy in their opening World Cup match.
The three lions went down 2-1 on Saturday but West Midlands Police reported a quiet night with no arrests related to football.
Chief inspector Sean Russell, from West Midlands Police, said: "Considering the late kick-off time and potential for people to drink excessively it was a relatively quiet night; we had calls alleging disorder in private properties but these turned out to be high-spirited World Cup parties.”
