THREE Black Country businessmen will be taking part in a 50 mile cycling challenge to raise money for the NSPCC.

Stourbridge residents Adrian Cutler and Neil Dunsby and Tyler Woods from Pedmore, will cycle from Great Malvern to Birmingham next Friday.

The trio are members of the NSPCC Birmingham Business Board, which aims to raise £250,000 to cover the total annual running costs of the the charity's Birmingham service centre each year.

Father-of-three, Mr Cutler is a partner with Midlands law firm Higgs & Sons, based in Brierley Hill.

The 42-year-old said: “We have a long distance to cover in one day but it will be a friendly ride, which we hope will attract support from businesses and the local community through sponsorship. "The NSPCC needs all our support to help prevent child abuse. "

Mr Dunsby, aged 47, a partner at Dunsby Associates LLP, Birmingham, added: “We are keen to develop fundraising events in the city and the bike ride is one of our first ventures this year which we hope to build on in the future.”

Mr Woods, aged 21, is the youngest member of the board and is currently interning at Birmingham Chamber of Commerce with Future Faces.

He said: "I have always felt strongly about the NSPCC and jumped at the chance to help in my spare time. I am looking forward to the cycle challenge and raising sponsorship.”
