DUDLEY Canal Trust’s second annual Real Ale Festival will have a flavour of the past with a brew to match.
The festival, which runs from Wednesday July 2 to Saturday July 5, will feature more than 60 different beers including a new ale from Sadler’s of Lye created to celebrate 50 years of Dudley Canal Trust.
Sadler’s ran a competition to find a name for the brew and A Trip Back in Time from entrant Gillian Olivia Fisher was chosen as the winner.
Jeff Luesley, chairman of Dudley Canal Trust Trips Ltd, said: “We’re very excited Sadler’s have agreed to support us in recognising our significant anniversary in this way, Gillian’s entry seemed to us to be a very fitting name for us.”
The event will be held at the Trust’s site on the Birmingham New Road in Dudley. Entry costs £2, or free for CAMRA and Trust members.
