PRETTY little misses are invited to take part in this year’s Stourbridge Carnival Princess pageant.

Melissa Jeffs, aged ten, from Kingswinford, walked away with the coveted princess crown last year and a £40 cash prize and bag of goodies - while four-year-old Annabel Murray from Stourbridge won the Rosebud title (plus £40 prize and other goodies).

Organiser David Harcourt is hoping this year’s event will prove as successful as ever and is inviting youngsters aged seven to ten to try out for the Princess crown and three to six year olds to vie for the Rosebud title.

The event will be judged in the main carnival arena by the town clock early on Sunday (July 6).

Entrants can sign up at 10.15am on the day and judging will get underway at 10.30am.

Cash prizes are on offer for the winners and there will be goody bags for all entrants.
