PEDMORE primary school pupils ensured they were ‘well red’ before the summer holidays.
Children at Ham Dingle Primary School, Old Ham Lane, paid £1 to wear their own red clothes on Friday (July 4) to raise funds to buy new books.
The colourful fundraiser has allowed the school to stock up on £255 worth of new reading material that will be on the shelves in the library from September.
Headteacher, Jo Davies, said: “The children always enjoy dressing up and it gives them a little bit of fun ahead of the school holidays.
"At the same time, thanks to the kind donations from parents, we have also raised valuable funds to boost the funds to get new school books.”
