Wollaston Tennis Club to hold open day this weekend

WOLLASTON Tennis Club will be opening its doors and offering free tennis this Saturday (July 12) as part of Great British Tennis Weekend.

The club, in Prestwood Drive, near Stourton, is hosting an open event for aspiring Andy Murrays and Petra Kvitovas.

Budding tennis stars of all ages and abilities, including those completely new to tennis, are invited to try their hand at the sport - free of charge.

Rackets and tennis balls will be provided.

People can also compare themselves to the professionals by taking part in the club’s fastest serve competition.

There will also be a barbecue, strawberries and cream, ice-cream and other refreshments at the event which starts at 2pm.
